Con gran satisfacción deseamos informar que se nos ha comunicado oficialmente desde Clarivate Analytics que la RIED-Revista Iberoamericana de Educación a Distancia cumple los criterios de calidad y de impacto de Web of Science y que por ello, estará indexada en SSCI: Education & Educational Research. Se nos informa que la cobertura abarcará desde el volumen 22, correspondiente a 2019. Igualmente, se agrega que la revista aparecerá en la publicación (junio, 2022) de los datos de JCR (Journal Citation Index) y recibirá el correspondiente Journal Impact Factor ™ (JIF).
Ya RIED obtuvo recientemente una excelente posición en el nuevo Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) del Journal Citation Report (JCR): Q1 y Percentil 87,05, es decir, se situaba en el 13% superior de las 725 revistas existentes en la Web of Science Core Collection, dentro de la categoría de Education & Educational Research.
Pero ahora se consagra esa consolidación, dado que próximamente formará parte de ese selecto grupo de revistas mundiales que cuentan con Factor de Impacto (JIF) en Web of Science de Clarivate Analytics. (Ver diferencias entre JCI y JIF).
Aunque este logro está por encima de todos los demás, conviene recordar otros posicionamientos de RIED alcanzados este año 2021. VER AQUÍ.
Para mejor entender el alcance de este logro (entrar en el JCR-JIF), se significa que en toda Iberoamérica, en 2021, sólo existen 11 revistas situadas en ese destacado índice y categoría de WoS (Educación), nueve son españolas, una brasileña y otra mexicana.
Como siempre, deseamos agradecer su apoyo, y felicitar a todo el Equipo Editorial de la revista, a su prestigioso Consejo Editorial, a los más de 300 revisores internacionales, a todos los investigadores que leen y citan nuestros artículos y, especialmente, a los autores que han publicado en RIED.

It is with great satisfaction that we inform that Clarivate Analytics has officially communicated to us that RIED-Revista Iberoamericana de Educación a Distancia (Iberoamerican Review of Distance Education) meets the quality and impact criteria of Web of Science and that, therefore, it will be indexed in SSCI: Education & Educational Research. We are informed that the coverage will span from volume 22, corresponding to 2019. Likewise, it is also stated that the journal will appear in the publication (June, 2022) of the JCR (Journal Citation Index) data and will receive the corresponding Journal Impact Factor™ (JIF).
RIED recently obtained an excellent position in the new Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) of the Journal Citation Report (JCR): Q1 and 87.05 percentile. That is, it was located in the top 13% of the 725 existing journals on the Web of Science Core Collection, within the Education & Educational Research category.

To better understand the scope of this achievement, it is worth mentioning that in all of Ibero-America, in 2021, there are only 11 journals located in that outstanding index and category of WoS (Education): nine are Spanish, one Brazilian and one Mexican.
