CALL FOR PAPERS RIED – Vol. 28(1)
The RIED-Revista Iberoamericana de Educación a Distancia (RIED), the journal of Digital Education, welcomes, exclusively, scientifically relevant and rigorous works in the field of distributed, open, flexible, and distance teaching and learning, e-learning, and technologies applied to education, especially in university contexts. Only unpublished, original, and innovative articles contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge will be considered, avoiding the repetition of common themes and conclusions.
Each issue of RIED publishes between 15 and 17 articles. Given the increasing attention the journal receives, a large number of submissions are received for each call. Therefore, a prioritization process will be conducted to select those that best align with the publication's criteria and requirements. Before submitting an article, consultation of this document and the referenced links is imperative. Non-compliance with any of these criteria, requirements, or standards may lead to the rejection of the work.
In the upcoming call for Vol. 28(1), priority will be given to outstanding works related to the following themes:
- Evidence of learning with artificial intelligence in open, distributed, and distance learning environments: empirical studies on artificial intelligence apps; successful practices of integrating artificial intelligence in educational design, development, and evaluation; theoretical and conceptual frameworks, ethical implications, etc.
- Achievements in learning through robotics, computational thinking, chatbots, virtual assistants, machine learning, blockchain, and intelligent tutoring.
- Evidence of learning achievements through the metaverse, virtual and augmented reality, immersive environments, extended reality, remote and virtual laboratories.
