RIED maintains its international excellence: Q1 in the main impact metrics

The 2026 metrics, based on 2025 data, are now available, and the Ibero-American Journal of Distance Education (RIED) once again confirms its outstanding international positioning. The journal remains in Q1 across the main reference indicators, consolidating its status as a high-impact scientific publication in the fields of distance education, digital education, and educational innovation.

In Clarivate Web of Science, RIED achieves a 2025 JCR-JIF of 3.5, placing it in Q1 with a percentile of 87.3. Likewise, in the Journal Citation Indicator (JCI), it reaches a value of 1.82, also in Q1, with an outstanding percentile of 92.3.

The results in Scopus further reinforce this trajectory. RIED obtains a 2025 CiteScore of 8.2, with a percentile of 92, and maintains a 2025 SJR of 0.731, also in Q1.

These figures demonstrate the quality, visibility, and impact of the research published in the journal, as well as the growing trust of the international academic community in RIED as a key venue for disseminating rigorous research on distance education and digital education.

This achievement is the result of the commitment of authors, reviewers, readers, the editorial team, and the institutions that make the journal’s sustained growth possible. At RIED, we thank the entire scientific community for its contribution and remain committed to promoting an open, rigorous publication with a clear Ibero-American and international outlook.

RIED remains in Q1. We keep growing.
