Student Satisfaction in Personalization Through Flexible Learning Itineraries

In this digital age, the realm of teacher education is faced with the urgent need to adapt and adopt innovative pedagogical methods that foster both autonomy and the professional growth of future educators.

This paper, titled "Flexible Learning Itineraries in Digital Environments for Personalised Learning in Teacher Training," authored by Adolfina Pérez-Garcias, Gemma Tur Ferrer, Sofía Villatoro Moral, and Antònia Darder-Mesquida from the University of the Balearic Islands, Spain, introduces a cutting-edge pedagogical strategy focused on crafting flexible learning itineraries.

This methodology allows students in teacher education to tailor their educational experience by choosing activities that best meet their personal needs, motivations, and existing knowledge.

The study employs a design-based research approach to assess a pedagogical strategy prototype introduced in a Teacher Training program course. Its objective is to bolster self-regulated learning capabilities and enhance students' control over their educational journey.

Findings reveal strong student satisfaction with the customized learning experience, highlighting the appreciated opportunity to craft their own learning paths that reflect their personal preferences and requirements.

The diverse range of choices available underscores the effectiveness of the pedagogical framework in promoting personalized learning, adapting the educational process to meet the unique traits of each student.

The conclusions drawn from the study underscore the role of this educational design in supporting self-regulated learning strategies, stressing the importance of tackling contemporary digital challenges through fair and equitable means.

Moreover, the research acknowledges the pivotal importance of the educator's role in designing learning experiences, emphasizing the need to spearhead educational innovation in digital settings to confront the demands of online learning with solutions that embody social justice and equality.
