The use of game elements and mechanics in educational contexts has captured the attention of teachers, researchers, and educational technology developers, who see in this approach the potential to increase student motivation and engagement with their learning.
Social media has become a privileged space where educators share, discuss, and disseminate their experiences with classroom gamification. Platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok function as dynamic repositories of gamified educational resources and as forums for professional exchange where teachers build communities of practice.
However, little is known about the behavioral patterns and dynamics that characterize these interactions around educational gamification in the digital environment.
This research aims to analyze educational gamification posts across three major social networks, examining who the most influential actors are, what types of content generate greater engagement, and how pedagogical interests intersect with commercial logic in these spaces.
Through the analysis of an extensive corpus of data collected during 2022, the study seeks to shed light on the role that social media plays in the dissemination and evolution of gamification practices in education.
